Our friend Pearson participated in the annual Fill-a-Backpack Drive once again, collecting even more backpacks this year than he did last!
If you recall, Pearson used a Facebook fundraiser last year to collect money, which he then used to purchase 50 backpacks and school supplies for each, reaching his personal goal. His family put the backpacks together and delivered them to the Sacramento Children’s Home and was featured on Good Day Sacramento.
Since then, the family fostered Jay. Together, the boys, now 12 and 16, once again put out the Facebook fundraiser, hoping to raise enough money for “at least one more than last year.” To their amazement, the family put together 70 filled backpacks for SCH. Check out the clip on Good Day here:
