Are you interested in learning more about the Sacramento Children’s Home and how you can get involved? Join us for a monthly tour, and get an inside look at how we’ve been giving children and families a better tomorrow for nearly 150 years.
On our monthly tours, you’ll learn about:
- Our mission to open doors to the future by maximizing the potential of children and families
- Our residential and community-based programs aimed at prevention, early intervention and treatment of child abuse and neglect
- How you can support us as we heal children, educate parents, and build strong families
Whether you’re a newcomer to the Sacramento Children’s Home or a current supporter, you’ll come away with an in-depth look at what we do to support Sacramento’s most vulnerable children and families, and what you can do to help!
SCH Main Campus tours will be held twice per month as follows:
- Second Wednesdays at 9:00am
- Fourth Thursdays at 10:30am
RSVP is required. Please email Todd.Koolakian@kidshome.org or call (916) 290-8201.
Each tour lasts approximately one hour and includes portions of the main building, the Residential Program Rec Hall, and if possible, a look at one of our community program offices (depending on availability and the size of the group). The majority of the tour is outdoors on our campus grounds. Please dress appropriately. Due to privacy and safety restrictions, tour attendees should be 18 or older, and tour groups are not allowed inside Residential Program cottages. Thank you for understanding.
Other Tour Opportunities:
If you cannot make a monthly tour, or if you are interested in touring one of our community programs, such as our Crisis Nursery, please contact us. We will work with you or your group to schedule a tour that meets your needs.
Consider making a reservation at Casa Garden Restaurant for lunch before or after your tour.
