Big Day of Giving
May 6, 2021
Big Day of Giving is quickly approaching on Thursday, May 6, and the Sacramento Children’s Home could use your help! The Children’s Home will once again join over 600 area nonprofits as we strive to raise critical funding to support the vital programs and services we provide for children and families across our community.
Now more than ever, we need your help!
This year, we have a goal of raising $100,000 to address the critical needs of local kids and families.
Sacramento Century Challenge
October 2, 2021
Participate in the annual Sacramento Century Challenge sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sacramento to benefit the Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery Program. More information and registration can be found closer to the date of the event.
Gifting Grandmas Luncheon
Twice annually the Friends of the Crisis Nurseries hold Gifting Grandmas luncheons featuring local authors, entertainers, and more. The program includes a guest speaker/speakers, lunch, and a raffle. Check back for more details as we get closer to Fall. The Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 Gifting Grandmas Luncheons were canceled. We are actively working to determine if we can hold the Fall 2021 event.

Drive-Thru Tri-Tip Dinner
Held this past February 27, 2021
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the SCH Guild switched things up for the 2021 annual crab feed! The SCH Guild organized the “Drive-Thru Tri-Tip Dinner” which took place on the grounds of the Sacramento Children’s Home in the Casa Garden Restaurant parking lot.
Postponed to 2022
Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainness of when we can safely host events and gather in larger groups again, we have decided to postpone the 4th Annual Impact Luncheon once more. The health and safety of our staff, clients, and the community as a whole continue to be our highest priority. With this in mind, we will continue to follow the guidance of the CDC, the Governor’s Office, and the Sacramento County Department of Public Health. As more guidance about safely hosting events becomes clear, we will be sure to update our plans accordingly. If you have any questions, please contact our Director of Philanthropy, Todd Koolakian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
