Big Day of Giving 2019 Results

The Big Day of Giving has ended, and we’ve totaled up results for the Sacramento Children’s Home.

Together, our supporters raised $63,611!

Thank you to everyone who made a Big Day of Giving donation on May 2, or pre-scheduled their donation beforehand. Because of you, we will be able to serve more youth in our Residential program, more babies and toddlers at our Crisis Nursery, and more families who need resources the most through our Family Resource Centers.

After raising $59,000 last year, we set the sensical goal of $60,000 for this. We started very strong, thanks in large part to a group of donors who committed to a $20,000 match fund. By midway, we fulfilled 71 percent of our goal and still had match funds available. In the evening, we saw a second strong push that increased the total to over $58,000, where it seemingly stayed put for a few hours.

Fortunately, our supporters helped us finish strong and ultimately catapulted us over the target.

Once again, we appreciate everyone’s support of these three key child abuse prevention and intervention programs.
