Sacramento Children’s Home launched our Family Rehousing Program in 2025. This initiative is designed to help families in Sacramento County move out of housing instability and into safe, stable homes.

Foster Youth Tutoring

The Sacramento Children’s Home operates a tutoring program for foster youth that are enrolled in the Sacramento City School District. The program focuses on four main pillars: tutoring, homework help, mental health support, including referrals to other services, and relationship building.

Family Urgent Response System

The Family Urgent Response System is a free, 24-hour helpline for current and former foster youth up to age 21 and their caregivers who need someone to listen, are struggling with a difficult situation, need help finding resources, or require something more urgent.

The Source

The Source connects all youth up to 26 and resource families in Sacramento County to trained hotline staff who provide guidance, support, and connection to critical resources.
