A Night to Remember: Highlights from Our 2026 Crab Feed & Auction

The Sacramento Children’s Home Crab Feed & Auction on Saturday, February 21, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church was nothing short of incredible. The evening was filled with laughter, connection, and a shared sense of purpose as our community came together to support children and families.

From the moment doors opened, the room buzzed with energy. Guests gathered with friends as the evening began with a lively silent auction featuring an impressive lineup of items and experiences. Not long after, one of the most anticipated traditions of the night took center stage—the cake auction. Tables rallied together, bidding wars broke out, and the excitement in the room was contagious. By the final slice, the cake auction alone had raised an incredible $57,000, a testament to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone in attendance.
The momentum carried into the live auction, where guests bid on unforgettable experiences. Highlights included an exclusive private in-home dinner for 10 prepared by Chef Ricky Yap and our coveted Royal VIP Treatment package, which includes a premier table at next year’s Crab Feed. The room was electric as guests cheered one another on and celebrated each winning bid.
One of the most meaningful moments of the evening came when Shayne, a former Residential Program client, took the stage to share her story. With courage and grace, she spoke about the support and sense of belonging she found through our programs and how those experiences helped shape her path forward. Her words deeply moved the room and served as a powerful reminder of the lasting impact this community makes possible.

The night ended on a high note with the announcement of our Golden Ticket winner—congratulations to them on an unforgettable trip to Ireland!
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our guests, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, the evening raised more than $313,000 to support life-changing programs for children and families in our community.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made the night possible—from those who bid, cheered, and shared in the excitement, to our dedicated Crab Feed Planning Committee, volunteers, and Philanthropy team. Special thanks as well to Mark Alman for bringing energy and expertise to the live auction. When our community comes together, amazing things happen—and this year’s Crab Feed was a perfect example.
