- We offer parenting classes: “Making Parenting a Pleasure.”
- We have a preschool curriculum.
The program is voluntary, confidential and of no cost to you!

Family Resource Centers/Birth & Beyond
Through home visitation these programs help parents to meet the physical, emotional and developmental needs of their children. From expectant moms to parents of large families, all can participate in workshops, group sessions and instruction on child development, nutrition and health care issues. The Sacramento Children's Home operates three Family Support Centers (FRC) that provide a range of services in the Sacramento Region. In addition, FRC staff fills the role of advocate, helping you know about and stand up for your rights.
Enrollment in a home visitation program is voluntary and you can stop at any time. You can request a home visitor before your baby is born or up to two weeks after the birth. Your home visitor will help you in areas such as child development, immunizations, stress reduction, problem solving, home management skills, nutrition and budgeting. The goal is to help you reduce your stress and increase your knowledge as a parent. Weekly home visits are free.
